St. Patrick's Day Pom-Pom Wreath
This St. Patrick’s Day Pom-Pom wreath is such a fun and easy project to make! There are so many different ways you could customize this wreath. We created this wreath with three different colors, but you could use as many or few as you would like. You could also make different sized pom-poms. The options are endless!
You'll Need:
- 12" Foam Wreath Form (043012)
- Herrschners Chunky Plush Yarn–White (0121480008)
- Herrschners Worsted 3 Yarn–Dark Moss (0100951055)
- Department 71 Holiday Lights Yarn–Spearmint (7125000005)
- Tacky Glue (790039)
- Scissors (320024)
- Cardboard or pom-pom maker
How to Make a Pom-Pom Maker
- Cut a piece of cardboard to 1½ x 6"
- Cut a small slit centered on one short end of the cardboard (slit should be about 3" long). *example below
Directions
- Make pom-poms in desired sizes and colors as follows:
- Wrap yarn around the cardboard about 50 times. Depending on the weight of your yarn, you may want to adjust the number of times you wrap it around the cardboard.
- Thread a piece of yarn through the slit of the cardboard and tie it around the middle of the wrapped section, tying it as tightly as possible.
- Cut through the loops at each end of the pom-pom.
- Fluff out the pom-pom and trim the edges evenly, if necessary. Glue pom-poms onto foam wreath
- Glue pom-poms onto the foam wreath form as desired.
