Excellent options, Price unbeatable
I bought this yarn to make hats in my kids' school colors (black and gold). I crocheted a hat for my son's birthday, am slowly hand knitting a simple beanie for myself, and have used it in my tempermental, yarn-eating knitting machine to make double-thick hats for other parent friends. For the price, I love its squishy softness and it's moving through my machine with with zero problems. With 1 skein, I have made 3 machine-knit hats, have enough yarn for at least 2 more (different liner color) and couldn't be happier with how everything is working up. This yarn is soft enough to be against the skin without being fuzzy or shedding all over. I intend to make many more hats on the machine, as it is so easy to work with, and look forward to trying some mosaic crochet and fair isle knitting to continue tinkering with it. This yarn is definitely on the lighter-weight side of worsted, so I recommend that anyone combining it with another yarn to check WPI as doing any sort of color work might cause inconsistencies in the final fabric. The only downside to this yarn is the color transitions between the yellow and black; they are not crisp, as there is a green stitch on either side of the yellow. It's only visible up close, so it certainly isn't a deal-breaker, but its best to know what to expect.
