Not a 5 weight- Very skinny, but good past that.

This is NOT a 5 weight yarn it is as skinny ask acrylic even including the fluff,. its more like a 4 weight IMO. That said it is very soft and barely sheds. I did use a 4/4..5mm hook for amigurumi with it

Yarn

This yarn is a lot thinner than I expect. Very soft and I like the colors, just wish it was thicker.

Soho Mist-ical Chenille yarn is a wonderfully soft chenille yarn dyed with playful speckles of color. Each ball of this 100% polyester yarn contains 2 ounces (115 yards) of bulky weight chenille yarn that stitches up quickly with playful dots of color. It is perfect for snuggly blankets, amigurumi, and fashion accessories. Make sure to hand wash your finished project to keep it looking its best. Imported.
• 100% polyester, #5 bulky weight yarn.
• 2 oz/56g/115 yd/106m ball.
• Hand wash. Imported.
• Crochet gauge, size K-10½ (6.5mm) hook: 12 sc and 12 rows = 4" (10.2cm).
• Knit gauge in st st, size 9 (5.5mm) needles: 12 sts and 18 rows = 4" (10.2cm).
