Shells & Lace Throw
Disappointing. This is the first time I bought a kit and the first time I have bought yarn online without having first seen it in person. Likely the last time. This instructions are easy enough. I will buy yarn at my local store if I choose to make this afghan again. But the yarn that came with this is horrible. It isn't soft, but I didn't really expect it to be. What I did expect was consistent color throughout and this is not that at all. It has dirty brown spots randomly on the skein. First time it showed up in my work, I thought I had spilled something on my project even though I am very picky about keeping it, and the area around it, clean. Then I saw the brown in the skein just waiting to be worked. What a disappointment. I had purchased this to make for my new daughter-in-law for Christmas. Now I will have to buy different yarn and start over.
