Julia Lucas created this cross-stitch design for all who are harried by the rush of modern-day life. It is Christmas Eve in rural Victorian England as a strolling couple sets off across the village square. Inside the glowing houses, families celebrate and prepare for Christmas Day. The scene is dreamlike, peaceful, and quiet under the glow of the lamplight.
