Homespun is soft and works up quickly. The only flaw I found is when starting or ending a skein it tends to unravel at the end.

My very most favorite yarn to work with. It seems to be getting a little stiffer, sometimes the twist makes it want to jump off the hook, so I slowed down a little, and it works.

Lion Brand Homespun
I use this for making wigs for children who have lost hair from cancer and other conditions. It unravels terribly, so I have to knot every strand of hair at both ends. For regular knitting, it is fine. I have a friend who uses it all the time. It just is annoying for my purposes, but required by the group I do this work for.
