I prefer toe-up knitting for socks. The author also forces you to look in the appendix for heel directions every time. Often the directions give only one size, with a sidebar for you to figure out addional sizes. The designs are colorful, but the yarns are all obscure European brands. I recommend it only for knitters who like cuff-down construction.
